Personal Statement

Dear Coaches,

In college, I wish to study in the medical field, but not yet decided on my particular major, as yet. Also, I would love to play college baseball for your ball club. I am a versatile, middle infielder, but with strong utility qualities, with many leadership skills. For not being a big guy, I believe I can certainly bring a big impact. Baseball is a very complex game, and I'm always learning something new, and that is the best part about playing baseball, you never stop learning. My gritty character, and never quit attitude, is something I really take pride in. I am a very competitive player, and wish to take this competitiveness to the next level. I currently maintain a 3.56 unweighted GPA and a 4.54 weighted GPA and believe that all the work starts in the classroom. I am very open to learning new things, with new people.  Thank you for the time and I hope to hear from you soon!

  • Defensively: Lewis was very impressive during the defensive portion of camp on Saturday. He showed to have quick feet, which is great for a guy his age. The footwork approaching the ball was outstanding, and he used good footwork to put his body in a strong throwing position. Glove action was also impressive during the ground ball portion of the camp. He allowed himself to get into a proper fielding position, and had good direction through the baseball. Trent Higginbothem, Assistant Coach (Volunteer)
