Hi my name is Trevor Peckham, I am a class of 2018 prospect. I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old. When I am not working on strengthening my baseball skills you can find me working at my part time job; doing manual labor chores for extended family or playing basketball. Baseball is my first love as an athlete because I enjoy such aspects of the game as hitting a double to start a rally. Baseball has taught me that no matter how bad the statistics might be for me one game I can come back fresh competing harder next game. My strengths on the field are my awareness and ability to be a leader from behind the plate. My strength as a teammate is always being able to competitively motivate others to better themselves. I believe I show respect to my coaches and listen to their suggestions to improve. My goal over the next two years is to continue to elevate my GPA and grow in my responsibilities and maturity. My physical goals are to get stronger and gain arm velocity.
As I begin my college search I imagine the college for me is a smaller one in the Southeast. I have not yet decided on a major, but I am considering psychology and sports medicine. I am a gifted student that takes honors classes in Science and English. As I grow and mature I am open to other collegiate options that do not fit this description. My dream has always been to play in the Southeast region close to my family. The more research I do about colleges and their programs I am broadening my horizons to other regions in the country.
In conclusion I appreciate you taking the time to read my personal statement and looking at my profile. As time goes on I will be making updates so that you will have the most up to date information. I look forward to this process and appreciate any opportunities to speak to you about my future.
