Personal Statement

I've been playing baseball my entire life and I understand that it's a game of failure and there will be ups and downs but giving up is not an option. The only way to be successful in this game is to be persistent. In order to be persistent you need to have an incredible amount of love and passion for this game, and that's what makes me different from other recruits. I love this game. I put practice before any other sort of activity because I understand that that's the only way that I will improve and learn how to play baseball the right way. I believe that games are won by the way you practice. You can work on so many things that when they happen during the game it'll be routine and there will no doubt in my mind that I can make the play. My goal is to play division 1 baseball and win the college World Series. I know that's an extremely though task but if a team is persistent, works really hard in practice and have the same goal, then I don't see why that's not possible.

Many kids don't enjoy practice and only look forward to games. I'm not that type or person, I love practicing. Like I've said before, I put practice before any other activity. Why? Because in practice I get to break down and truly analyze everything that I'm doing. I can do as many reps as I want and try to fix what I'm doing wrong and not be afraid to make mistakes because that's what practice is there for. I learn from the errors that I make in practice and try not to make them again. My goal in practice is to do everything right, not one error, but I do understand that no one is perfect. This desire to be perfect has helped me develop a great work ethic that I've been able to apply to not only baseball but school as well.

The importance of doing well in school is something that has always been expressed to me. I've been told a million times that no matter how talented I am or how hard I work, if I don't have the grades, I won't make it anywhere. I really took that into consideration and applied myself to school. Between school and baseball I've learned how to manage my time and I believe that in order to be a successful student athlete you need to be able to know how to do that. Understanding that sometimes studying for a test is more important than going out with your friends and knowing when to stop practicing because you need to do homework and go to sleep early is crucial when it comes to being successful.

I am the recruit you're looking for because my passion for baseball is like no one else's. I've been playing baseball since I was 3 and over the years, I have gained an incredible amount of knowledge in how to play both the physical and mental part of this game. I understand that baseball is always changing and that we never fully  learn everything there is to know about the game of baseball but that's why I'm willing to work harder than everyone else. I want to learn as much as I can and apply it in practice and games and hopefully go further than college baseball. I am the recruit you're looking for.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
