Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am committed to being the best student athlete possible. I understand that success in the classroom and on the field are closely related. I also understand that hard work in the classroom opens doors. I consider myself a well rounded person. I am mature and understand the commitment necessary to play collegiate ball. I am a team player, picking up my teammates when they need to be picked up and giving and taking advice when it is needed. I will bring leadership, a high motor, respect, and skill to the college I play for.
My school is very tough academically and I do well. I am part of the Mas Honors Program. I recently got an 1140 on my PSAT. The school I play for will get a hard worker on and off the field. The Columbus Explorers are a perennial national powerhouse team, winners of two state championships at the highest classification, currently 9A. My Coach, Coach Joe Weber, expects much of his players and gives no free passes.
As a pitcher, I pride myself with above average location. I have a high baseball IQ being a student of the game. I throw my 4SM and 2SM with accuracy. My change up drops, and my curve ball comes at the righty then drops away. I will continue working on all my pitches and getting better. I play like someone is always watching, evaluating me. I understand the recruiting process is competitive. That's why I am starting during my sophomore year. I have three full seasons to play. My coaches, at different levels, have always said extremely positive things about my mechanics. I have no doubt I have the talent to pitch at the next level. I will continue to work hard understanding in baseball, as in life, you never stop trying getting better.
Thank you for the opportunity,
