Personal Statement
I am a 6'1" 190 lb. outfielder/RHP/infielder from Palatka, Florida. I started my high school career at Peniel Baptist Academy in Palatka and played varsity baseball my eighth and ninth grade year. I then transferred to Palatka High School to face better competition and have greater exposure. I started on junior varsity my tenth grade year and worked as hard as I could to be on varsity. Sadly there were not any available spots because of 9 starting seniors.
I played on varsity my eleventh grade year but because of a severe high ankle sprain at the beginning of the spring season, I was limited to 4 at bats. This year will be my senior year and every day I do something to make myself better. I don't want to look back at my senior year and wish I had done something more. I want to make sure that I do everything possible to make myself better. I always strive to be the player that other teams, parents, and coaches see and say "wow he's really good".
I am looking for an opportunity to play at the next level whether it's NAIA, DII, DIII, it doesn't matter. My dream is to play college baseball and I will work as hard as I can to make sure it happens. I am not afraid of changing my position. I will play any position that allows me to play the sport that I love. I am mainly looking for colleges in Florida but I will contemplate offers from colleges in Texas, Kansas, and Georgia if the school is willing to offset out of state tuition. I currently have a job at a physical therapy center as a physical therapy technician and am greatly interested in pursuing a career in that field.
