My goal in high school is to achieve high academic and athletic standards. In college, I expect to pursue either a business finance or legal studies degree and to compete at a high level on a college baseball team. My current weighted GPA is 3.68 and I earned Honor Roll status both Sophomore and Junior years. I am also a member of The National Society of High School Scholars.
As a dual sport Baseball and Football player, I am versatile and play many different positions to help the team. In football, I played five different positions on offense and defense as a Sophomore. I also learned to deal with an injury and overcome adversity by aggressively rehabbing a season-ending broken fibula to make sure I was healthy for the Spring 2017 Baseball Season. As a freshman along with seven D1 commits on our district champion high school baseball team, I started in right field and also achieved a 3-0 pitching record with 22 innings and a 1.98 ERA. As a base runner, I had nine stolen bases with a .818 SB percentage. As a sophomore, I lead the team hitting .432 earning 1st team All-District and 1st-Team All-County honors as an infielder playing 3rd base.
Entering the 2016 Club season, I focused on my hitting which paid off as I earned 1st Team All-American Hitting Honors on the Perfect Game 15U All-Tourney Team. At the Showball Showcase in NY, I ran a 6.63 60-yard dash. In Club, I play multiple positions as an outfielder, pitcher, and catcher. My primary position is centerfield to take advantage of my speed.
I am committed to my mental and physical growth and maturity as my coaches challenge me in the pursuit of my dream to play college baseball. I’m working hard fine-tuning different parts of my game and dedicating time to get bigger, stronger, faster. I believe I have the talent, intelligence, and mental toughness to compete on and to impact a college baseball team.
