For many years now I have been working hard towards my goal of playing baseball at the college level while also identifying a college that is a good fit for me as my education post baseball is very important. The best circumstance for me would be to play baseball as well as get education from a school that challenges me and puts me on the road to success. I am very interested in continuing at a Catholic college or university but certainly open to any opportunity that is a good fit for me.
What makes me a good candidate for a college team is not just my talent, but what I've been taught beyond just baseball skills. I work very hard, am driven and focused and am able to learn things quickly. I am one that looks forward to going to practice each day. I realize that I am fortunate to have a lot of resources at my disposal to become the best baseball player I can be, and I am willing to use any and all of them to do so.
I attend St. Pius X Catholic High School, a very rigorous college prep high school with a competitive athletic program. This year, as a junior, I was the starting short shop and also pitched when needed. We finished the season 27-5 and went to quarterfinals of state's. Last season, I made the Varsity team as a sophomore where we finished with best record in school history, 29-4 and were Region Champs. We made it to the quarterfinals of State's.
As a junior I challenged myself in the classroom. Classes included Latin 3 Honors, AP English and AP US History. I was also a member of the Intermediate Guitar Program. Next year, as a senior, I will be taking Physics, AP Literature and AP Government and continue with fine arts as a member of Concert Band and Jazz Band.
As a rising senior and second year starting short stop for St. Pius, I look forward to taking a leadership role on and off the field.
My summer travel team is the Georgia Bombers. We have a packed summer of tournaments where I hope to identify a college that is a good fit for me.
