Personal Statement
Since I began playing baseball, I have aspired to play college baseball and at the professional level. I believe I possess the necessary baseball skills, academics, leadership, work ethic, and the intangibles that are paramount in order to succeed as a scholar athlete in college.
I have a tremendous passion to compete at every level and commit myself everyday in getting better whether it is on the baseball field, working out, my studies, and as a person. I am very proud of my academic achievements. My GPA is a 4.0+ that consist of AP and Honors Courses. In addition to playing baseball, I started at Strong Safety as a Sophomore for Alpharetta High School Varsity Football Team ( Georgia 6A Region 6 Undefeated Champions ) and received the AHS Scholar Athlete Award.
The three things that are most constant in my life is my strong work ethic, family and teammates. From the beginning of my athletic career, my father told me that "the harder I work the luckier I will get and when an opportunity presents itself I will be prepared and deserving". That is the foundation of my work ethic. Also, I believe in leading by example and encouraging my teammates. Anyone can be a leader but I am a firm believer that true leadership and character reveals itself when things are not going in your favor. I never allow myself to get down as baseball is a "game of failure". I stay mentally focused one pitch at a time and have learned to put the past behind me whether the outcome was positive or negative. I keep climbing up the infinite ladder of success one wrung at a time and never look back!
Most importantly, I want to play baseball for a University that will afford me the opportunity to compete and prepare me for life beyond baseball. I am smart enough to realize that baseball will not last forever!
