Personal Statement
I plan to obtain a degree in Biology or in Engineering though I have not decided the specific field of Engineering that I want to pursue. I have worked hard throughout my high school career to maintain above average grades. I currently have a 4.667 GPA in an Honor's Pathway at Tattnall County High School. I have played baseball since I was five years old. I have dedicated my summer vacations, fall and holiday breaks, and a portion of my work earnings to play and improve my baseball skills. I work hard to maintain my health and body in top physical performance and I understand the importance of the mental aspect of the game. I work to get to know the pitchers I catch for so that I am better able to support them on the field. I understand that poor catching can make a star pitcher look bad, while good catching can make an average pitcher look good. Every time I walk onto a baseball field my focus is to do my job behind the plate so the pitcher can focus on throwing his best stuff. I also understand the importance of teamwork on the field and I am always willing to do whatever it takes to build up my team and help make it stronger.
