Personal Statement

Growing up and playing with kids that have become some of my closest friends have really shaped me into who I am today.  The two losses my team took to River Ridge in the 6A state playoffs this year helped me to never give up. I'm sure everyone thought that we would get run off the field because they were higher ranked than us, but we were able to hang with them until the final innings of each game. Throughout the many wins and losses of my baseball career, I was able to develop and comprehend many more important life lessons. Baseball is just a stepping stone in this journey of life.

I became interested in baseball around an early age because it came easy for me.  My dad encouraged me to try many different sports such as gymnastics, football, soccer, and basketball which improved my athletic ability.  From experience, I have learned that it's always important for me to learn from my failures and cherish my accomplishments because one day I could wake up, and it could all be over. My academic goals for high school are to have all A's in my senior year and hopefully I can translate that over to college.

I've had to make some tough decisions on which sport I should put more focus on.  I'm very blessed to have such a loving family supporting me along the way.  The obstacles I've faced are very minute compared to those of others, and I'm very thankful for that.

I believe that I have the required skill set to help any team be successful. I'm always focused on the task at hand, and I'm very resilient when it comes to work that needs to be done.  No matter what is thrown at me,  I will always give 100% effort.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
