Personal Statement
Making the junior varsity baseball team in my eight grade year was one of my proudest moments. By making the team I learned what it took to earn playing time on the field and all the hard work it took to excel. Practicing alongside the varsity and junior varsity teams I learned to become a leader on the field. I understood what it took to be a mentor on the field and in the classroom. The guidance and experience I received from playing and practicing with the older student-athletes help me to develop into the hard working, focused, and determined person I am today. As I grow I will continue to be a role model for younger players and will carry those qualities to the next level.
I hope to find a program that will be a good fit for me academically and athletically. As I pursue my educational and athletic goals it is very important that I work hard in the classroom as I do on a baseball field. I know my dedication and hard work will show on the field and in the classroom. As a basketball and baseball player I know what it takes to be a leader, have good character, and most all how to be a great teammate that will benefit your program.
