Dear Coaches,
Thank your for reading my profile. I would like to share a few details about my aspirations currently and over the next few years.
My name is Tristan Capocci and I am 15 years old. I am a sophomore attending The Heritage School in Newnan, Ga I am primarily a middle infielder and I am comfortable playing all outfield positions as well. I have pitched for several years and enjoy competing on the mound.
After high school, my goal is to attend a highly competitive D1 or Ivy League university with an emphasis on academics. Baseball is not the only sport I participate in. During the winter, I swim on my varsity school team. This Spring, I will play high school baseball and will run track.
When I am not playing baseball or going to school, I am extremely active with my Church, family and friends. During the summer, I enjoy going on mission trips and various baseball trips. Over the past three years, I have been on mission trips to Puerto Rico and have visited the Dominican Republic three times with Global Youth Baseball. I regularly serve in my local community in a variety of projects. This year, I am a member of the Key Club, Outdoor Club and am a high school Ambassador. I am part of a youth leadership team at my church called LEAD1. I have played the piano for several years and also enjoy cooking and drawing.
In the summer of 2013, I had the privilege to participate as a member of the USA Baseball 14U National Development team in Cary, North Carolina. That is definitely my greatest accomplishment in baseball thus far. It was an unforgettable experience and I learned many things from several outstanding coaches from all over the country. After I attend college, my goal is to play baseball professionally or move into some type of executive management for a sports team. To make it to these levels of play, I must outwork everyone I know and all of the people I do not know.
I have set several goals for 2015, which include : attaining a GPA of 3.5 or better in my academic classes; starting my varsity high school baseball team; continuing to play at the highest level in summer ball; attending college camps and Perfect Game showcases and most importantly, earning a position on the USA Baseball national team. I truly believe in myself and my abilities to be a successful student-athlete in college. I am looking forward to the challenge of playing college baseball at the highest level and attaining a great education from a top school.
My dad always tells me "hard work pays off" and as far as I have seen thus far, he is right. Thank you for reading my biography and have a blessed day!
