Personal Statement

A power hitting, strong defensive catcher,  I've been a varsity starter since 9th grade.  Coaches say I'm a fierce competitor on the field, accomplished in the classroom (4.0+) and respected by teachers, coaches and classmates.  I try to be a confident, understated leader on the field.  With a strong arm, a powerful bat, high exit velocity,  the ability to block the ball and protect the plate (allowing 8 passed balls in 171 innings caught).  I have high baseball IQ and the ability to act on it,  with a head for the game and academics.  I"m looking for a school that will prepare me academically to compete on the next field of life whether its orthopedic medicine or college baseball coaching.  The son on a coach and a retired corporate executive,  I'm a smart, competitive, leader.  If I sound like someone that you would be interested protecting your home plate and in your line up, I'd love to hear from you.
