I think my background separates me from many other recruits. I was born in Los Angeles, California. When I was 3, I was adopted by my Foster mom. In 2005, we moved to Georgia to be closer to our family. I have always been smaller in stature to my peers, so I've had to work harder to stand out even though people say I'm a naturally gifted athlete.
Currently, my high school plays in the largest region in Georgia (7 AAAAAAA). In 2017, we won our second consecutive Region Championship and finished in the Elite 8. I started at left field for most of the season (0 errors) and I hit .500 during the regular season. I was recently awarded the All-County Hustle & Attitude Award.
In 2016, our JV team finished 13-5 and played for a second consecutive county championship. As the starting center fielder, I led the team in batting average, on base percentage and put outs (outfielders). Toward the end of the season, I was "called up" to the varsity team. The varsity team won the region championship and finished in the Sweet 16. This summer, I will be playing for Team Elite out of Winder, Georgia.
I have shown that I can be successful playing against athletes from every level of competition and believe I would be an asset to any college team because I work hard and strive to better myself in every practice and game. I hope to play for a college team that allows me the opportunity to contribute and, hopefully, to play for a national championship.
Academically, I strive to do my best in the classroom and hope to complete my degree in Forensic Chemistry.
