Personal Statement
Hello my name is Jackson Jones. I live Warner Robins, Georgia and am part of the class of 2018. I am currently 6' 04" and weigh 195 pounds, my dad is 6' 08" and 260 pounds so I still have a ways to go. I love the game of baseball and have always dreamed of playing baseball in college. One of my main priorities is my education. I work very hard to maintain a 3.8 GPA and understand the importance of being a successful "Student Athlete".
I play baseball at Houston County High School for Coach Jason Brett. I am an extremely hard worker both on and off the baseball field. I have played travel ball since the age of nine and was a member of the Warner Robins Little League team that placed second in the 2012 Southeast Region Tournament. I play all positions in the outfield, but I also pitch and can play 1st base. I've never cared what position I play or where I bat in the line up, I want to contribute in a positive manner to the team and the program as a whole.
Of course, everyone would like financial aid for college and I’m no exception. My father is a police officer and my mother is a paraprofessional (teaching assistant). They have worked very hard to provide me the opportunities I've had to play baseball. I am open to all options and want to find the right college match that will afford me the highest level of academics and athletic competition. I take pride in this opportunity and will not let myself, my parents, or you down.
