Personal Statement

Greetings,  My name is Shayden-Thomas Sabangan and as a child my goal was to be a collegiate student-athlete.  I always viewed the idea of becoming a ball player but with the intent of attaining a quality college degree.  Growing up, sports has been a lifestyle beginning at the age of four.  I play the game everyday with the same philosophy to always hustle and play the game as if I were not to play another.  Mentally, I have the drive to get better everyday.   As a teammate, I push each and every single one of us expecting for them to do the same because you don’t win as an individual.  Baseball is a gift, a blessing, so I will play ball to the best of my ability not taking one pitch off.

I am a great fit to play collegiate baseball because I am not afraid, whether it being to fail, or prevail.  My parents and I have gone way too far to let opportunities slip through our hands.  This being I plan to work hard and play hard for the name on my back and the name across my chest.  Not just in sports, but in the books.  In the classroom, I work hard and ask for help when needed.  The same drive and determination will transfer from the field, to my studies, and vice versa.

My work ethic and hardworking attitude makes myself take great pride in my work.  I know if I am fortunate enough to enroll in any division College that I will be a great fit to the program.  My hopes and standards to become a collegiate baseball while excelling towards a college degree are very high.  Thus making myself drive and push harder to represent my family, my school, and myself.

The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
