My name is Mikito Barkman and I am currently a student at Maui High School. I will be graduating in the year 2018. I play baseball at the college level and I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old. I want to continue to get better, stronger, and improve my abilities on and off the field every day. Because I am from a school on a small island, it has pushed me to work hard every day. I love stepping onto the baseball diamond every day because it is what I loved to do since I was 5 years old and would like to continue to keep playing baseball after high school. I am very coach-able, a good, supportive teammate, and a quick learner. Academics are number one in my family so that means I have to be successful in school before I can be successful on the baseball field. School is very important to me because it helps me learn about things that are needed for the future in life. I love learning about how the human body functions and would eventually like to become a physical therapist in the future.
