Baron Victorino '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Baron Victorino and I am a senior at Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Campus. My greatest passion is baseball and I look forward to taking that to the next level by playing collegiate baseball.

I started playing baseball at the age of 13. It was then that I developed the love that I still have for the game. I am left-handed and currently play centerfield. I've played right field as well and I pitch occasionally. I am willing to play any position. 

I believe that my accomplishments both on the baseball field and in the classroom is proof of my commitment to the sport and to academics. I do strength training and conditioning everyday after school. As an athletic scholar, my GPA is 3.8. 

As a member of the National Honors Society, I am dedicated to serving my community.  I have volunteered with the March of Dimes, the Hawaii Meth Project, and other smaller non-profit organizations. With the Salvation Army, I volunteered as a peer mentor with at-risk youths, fundraised during the holidays, and fed the less fortunate.

Earning an athletic scholarship will help me give back to my family for all of their support in helping me attain my goals. Graduating from college with a lowered cost of debt would definitely be my overall goal. I believe as a teammate, I would lead by example to strengthen others around me.
