- Riley is a lean, athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 60 time of 7.33. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works around and plays through balls with his body. He moves well laterally and presents soft /sure hands well out front. Hands / feet work well together and he gets rid of the baseball quickly with life (87 mph velocity), carry, and accuracy on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average power potential. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) through an aggressive approach. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball with power to all fields. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude, works hard, and is a student of the game. Riley has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Aggressively shifts into contact with lower half creating good bat speed through extension. Consistently squared up baseball producing loud contact to all fields. Riley Beck (2018 MIF, Cedar Rapids, IA) Swung with intent to drive the baseball with a gap to gap approach. Created rising line drives throughout batting practice to the middle of the field.
