Jordan (JD) Barr '13 Recruiting Profile

I am Jordan Barr, a side-arm RHP,  my story is a little unique, I am from South Sioux City, Nebraska and graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in Sioux City, Iowa in 2013. After finishing a 4 year varsity baseball career, I attended Northern State University on an academic and baseball scholarship. I was red shirted my freshman year, played summer baseball for the Omaha Diamond Spirit, and then made the decision to try and take my baseball skills to another level and transferred to Marshalltown Community College.  Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with 3 bone spurs in my right elbow and had arthroscopic surgery in Sept. 2014.  I received a medical red shirt for the 2014-2015 season. I am now back on track to resume my baseball career and will be a sophomore in the fall of 2016.  Fall ball here at Marshalltown has gone well and I am now  trying to find a place to complete my college career.  I am a pre-law major with a 3.93 GPA through college and my ACT score was 24.  I feel I am a true scholar/athlete and am a dedicated, hard worker. I am also a team oriented player as I am a study table leader and help tutor my teammates. I am willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to win and believe I will help whatever program gives me the chance as I finished 9th nationally in saves this season.
