Hayden Thompson '20 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play college baseball and get a degree in education.  Ideally, I'd love to find a team where we both just "fit" together.  I'm all about teamwork.  I'd like to play after college if my ability continues to let me do so, but if not, I'd like to find a team where it will support me academically and athletically, and also emotionally as I think that's important as well.  

I'm a left handed 1st base man.  I can also pitch.  I'm a good candidate for your team because I work hard, have good morals, am a good team player and am always trying to encourage my teammates to do their very best.    I'm also a pretty good lefty.  

I feel as though I'm different than other recruits in character, athletics and academics because I strive to make a difference.  I love to play baseball, most baseball players do, but I LOVE it.   I am always thinking about baseball, how I can improve my game, how I can help my teammates.  I want to become a teacher so I feel academically I want to make things work.  I enjoy working with children and I think my character is one that cares about others.  It's not about "me."  It's about a team.
