Personal Statement
My goal is to play at the highest level possible in college where I can continue to upgrade my skills, be a good teammate, and contribute to the team's success. I am an excellent student of the game and prepare for every practice, game, and season through hard work, dedication, and study. My coaches have described me as one of their hardest workers and a quiet leader who leads by example. I have the ability to play multiple positions on the infield; though I have played primarily at third base and pitcher the last several seasons. I have continued to develop better command of my pitches and am able to throw offspeed pitches with good control at any count. My pitches have good movement and my curveball has good bite.
I have always been one of the best players on my team, but continue to work hard to improve. My goals for the offseason are to get stronger and continue to add velocity to my fastball. I also have set a goal to be the number one pitcher on my team by the time I am a senior and develop better command of all my pitches. I am also working hard to improve my batting and fielding technique.
Finally, I believe that I am great teammate as I am more interested in the success of the team than in my own. I will work my hardest, whether I am a starter or not, and I always encourage my teammates to be their best.
