Personal Statement
I am a 6 foot, 185 pound left handed pitcher from Downers Grove, Illinois. I am currently apart of the class of 2017 and interested in playing baseball at the college level. I first started playing baseball when I was five years old. My favorite saying was “the faster the better” when telling my dad how hard to throw the ball. Currently as a junior, I am in the starting rotation for pitching conference games. I am a positive influence both on and off the field. During the games, I am making sure that our team is always supporting one another. I have worked very hard at mastering the mechanics of pitching and as a lefty I am very effective while on the mound. When I am not pitching, I am the starting first baseman. I have great flexibility when at this position, and catch everything that is thrown my way. I have had great success at the plate this year during my season. I typically bat in the third position and always find a way to get on base and drive my teammates’ home. I work hard both on and off the field. I have a passion for baseball and I am looking for an opportunity to continue to put this passion out on the field during my college career.
