Personal Statement

The goals I have set for my college experience are to attain the best education possible, achieving my degree at the finest available school that complies with my academic major while ideally allowing me to play baseball and catch in a four year program.

I believe my best baseball attributes are as follows:

a)    Receiving and blocking; allowing pitchers the confidence to throw any pitch in any situation without fear of giving away strikes or letting balls go back to the screen.

b)    Middle of the order contact hitter

c)    Leadership qualities including high energy spirited “team” attitude, with a solid accumine for the game allowing pitchers to stay relaxed and focused on the mound while keeping the rest of the roster           motivated and loose.

d)    Quickness; both footwork and release enabling faster pop times

I have consistently retained a minimum 3.75 GPA through my first 5 semesters at Lincoln Way East taking several college prep and honors classes including 3 years of “Foreign Language” with a goal of completing my senior year with a minimum 3.8 average. My pre-SAT scores predict between 28 and 31 ACT score. I am currently taking outside ACT classes in preparation for my December ACT testing.

In short, I consider myself a well-rounded athlete (football linebacker/baseball catcher) with solid academic skills.
