Personal Statement
I love the game of baseball and have ever since I began to play at a young age. For many years now playing college baseball has been a key goal of mine, and I'm working very hard every day in order to achieve this. I am a dependable, team player who is always willing to make any sacrifice necessary in order to benefit the team. This is important to me because I respect the game and my coaches who have dedicated so much time to teach how to play the right way. I understand what it takes to improve, which is why I continually work on all aspects of my game, including my overall strength and conditioning.
I am very disciplined and hard working, which has been a critical part of the success I have achieved up to this point. I play two varsity sports (baseball and basketball), have earned a 3.5 GPA and was elected to the National Honor Society. I always strive to be the hardest working player on the field, as well as in the classroom, and I know my past teachers and coaches would agree.
I am searching for the right school to attend that will allow me the opportunity to pursue my dream of playing college baseball, as well as challenge me academically. I understand the baseball recruiting process has some risk, but I am very confident in my skills and abilities and believe that I will make a positive contribution to any school that gives me an opportunity to play and achieve my goals.
If you feel I might be a good fit for your program and would like additional information, please contact me. I look forward to talking with you.
