Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I appreciate your consideration as a member of your University/College and baseball team.
I am very passionate about the game of baseball and always strive to be the best that I can be. I have achieved many goals throughout my career as an infielder. In little league, I qualified for the all-star team every year, and then I moved on to travel ball where I have competed at the highest levels in many different state and national tournaments. While I was participating in all of that, I maintained to keep my grades up in the classroom.
I also was a part of many basketball championships while I was in grade school. When I was 13 I was a part of a champion Varsity football team. Also, I have 5 years of wrestling under my belt, which taught me to have confidence, endurance, and strength.
My high school career has been very enjoyable so far. My coaches at Notre Dame College Prep have played a huge role in my journey for success. Freshman year my team won a championship in South Bend, Indiana. Sophomore year I got moved up to varsity, where I played a solid shortstop. I ended the season with a dominate fielding percentage. I was the shortstop for the team that made it to the Regional Championship. My Junior Year I received ALL-CONFERENCE, ALL-AREA and ALL STATE.
I am aiming to play baseball at the next level not only at the highest level possible but a program that offers the best opportunity for me to advance my skills. Also, I am considering the academics of the University/College and support of student athletes in maintaining success in the classroom. The atmosphere and state or region will be an important factor in my choices. If the best choice is in state or out of state, I will still consider that as well.
I believe that I have the skills, work ethics, discipline, sportsmanship, and the smarts of baseball to succeed at the highest levels of college baseball. My goal is to take my baseball talent as far as I can, but achieving a degree and being the best that I can be is right there with it.
