Ridge Greenman '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ridge Greenman.  I am a 5'11" 155lb, right handed, Senior, at Alwood High School.  Our athletic teams are co-oped with Cambridge High School.  Our team name is the Ridgewood Spartans.

I primarily play the middle infield.  I also am a starting pitcher and have also made several relief appearances. My 2014 pitching record was 7-2 with a 1.8 ERA. This included a pitching wins in Regionals and Sectionals. In 2014 we were regional champions and sectional champions making it to the Illinois Elite 8.  My pitching record for 2013 was 7-2.  I am a right handed batter and also throw right handed.  We went 17-1 in the Lincoln Trail Conference (Conference Camps) and 24-8 overall (Regional Camps).

I am very proud that I have been a starter on the Varsity level since my freshman year.  Last year, we set a school record for team wins at 23.  This year, we broke the team record in wins again with 24.  We also won a regional championship for the first time in school history.  As a freshman, I was primarily a third baseman and catcher.  As a sophomore and Junior, I am primarily playing the middle infield and pitching.  I am primarily a line drive hitter, who has power to all fields.  I also take pride in my bunting skills, as I am leading the team in sacrifice bunts this year. As a pitcher, I have a very good curve ball, good change, and very good fastball.  I am able to locate my pitches very well.

I have been named to the Academic All Conference team in football, basketball and baseball every year.  I work extremely hard in my school work.  Playing sports is a reward for receiving good grades.  My sophomore year, I was named to the All Conference Honorable Mention team and again to the All Academic All Conference team. My junior year, I was named to the all conference baseball team and all conference all academic team. I was also named to the all area team for the Quad Cities area.

My dream, goal and aspiration is to play baseball in college.  Not only do I want to play, but I also want to earn my degree in the field I chose.  I want to be part of a winning team or make a team a winner.  I feel I would be a great fit for a college that has these same goals and a college that helps me earn my degree.
