Personal Statement

Being the biggest and the most athletic are words rarely used to describe me. Hard work, dedication, and persistence are my strengths. I have always striven to be the better person and the best player I can be. I do not want to join a team where I start out as the "big man" on the team and have everything given to me; rather, I want to play for a spot and compete everyday to get myself and the team better. Leading by example- whether that be in the classroom, on the field, or as a person, through always out-working everyone else around me - has been a message my parents have taught me from a young age that I will never forget. No matter how important baseball is, it is a privilege that I have to earn to play on the field.
