Personal Statement
My name is Jordan Goldstein and the one major thing I have taken away from baseball is how to handle defeat or errors on and off the field. I earned the starting short stop position as a junior in high school on a very heavy talented senior dominated team that made it to super sections
From a young age my parents stressed the importance of making sure my academics were my number one priority so my high school goal is to graduate with a 3.7-4.0 GPA. I plan to carry over my hard work in class at the collegiate level as well. I never want my school work to decide if I play or not. The one obstacle I have to overcome is my height, which I cannot do anything about. Ultimately this has pushed me to work hard at developing my skills to make sure that I stand out. The one skill that I am most proud of is my knowledge of the game and knowing exactly what to do on the field defensively and offensively. One of my favorite highlights came as a 12 year old when my team placed 2nd in Cooperstown after losing the first 3 games. It proved to me how crazy this game can be and that is why I love it so much!
