My name is Ryan Weber, I am 5'11 and weigh 145 pounds. I attend Richards High School in Oak, Lawn IL. I have been playing baseball since tee-ball. I love being on the field and working on getting better everyday, I work hard on the field and in the classroom. Ever since I started playing baseball playing in college has been a dream. My main position is a RHP. I have 3 good pitches and they have good movement and I can locate them good. I have played for my high school and travel teams and as I have grown as a player I have seen my speed increase as both a pitcher and base runner. Base running speed is another key attribute of mine.
On top of my pitching I have very quick hands as a batter. I don't have the most power but i can hit for both contact or power. I can also place the ball where the balls need to be to help out the team. I can play many other positions and would be glad to help out if the coach needs it. I play some infield and outfield. I love to play to win and with winning comes hard work and practice and I am willing to push to get better everyday. I am looking to play at a college that is a good fit for me and can help me get better both on the field and in the classroom.
As for school size I am looking for a medium size school that I can communicate with the teachers and other students. Baseball is extremely satisfying and I would love to play at the college level and succeed in the future. As for where to play college baseball I am very open as to where to play but I would prefer to stay close to Illinois where my family is located, but any where in the Midwest would be a good fit for me.
Aside from being on the diamond, a good classroom environment where people communicate would be nice. I like to be challenged in the classroom and strive for an A average every semester though A's and B's are my main grades.I try to take classes in high school that will better me for college. 2 college courses that I would like to look into is for physical training in a sports field or a mechanical engineer. I currently rank 148 out of 444 for class rank and I plan to stay there or above for my whole high school career and into college.
I appreciate you taking your time to read my personal statement and looking over my profile. Good luck this season to your team and looking forward to possibly speaking to many of you in the future.
