Personal Statement

My future goal is to play Division 1 collegiate baseball and earn a college degree. I'm a great leader on and off the field, I'm a teachable student in the classroom and a coachable athlete on the field. What makes me different from other recruits, is I don't shy away from pressure, I thrive in late-game situations when a clutch play needs to be made.  My sportsmanship is one of my best traits because I'm humble in loss and humble in victory. I can lead a team to victory and I can bring a team back from defeat. Getting the opportunity to play college baseball is a major goal, but being a student will always come first.

Events

  • Up & Coming
  • 6/02/22 to 6/05/22
  • Our first tourney of the year isn’t what we exactly hoped for, but it was a good starting point. We played in a 16U tournament as a 15U team, but still went 2-3 on the weekend. Beat a 16U team and a solid 15U team, lost a couple close one’s to talented 16U teams. Longer, closer games, meant less AB’s, so I was able to string a couple hits and RBI’s along the way. Fielding was a little shaky at first, but became much more solid along the games. Good start off to the summer.
  • Camp/Event
  • Fall Halloween Midwest Championships
  • 10/30/21 to 10/31/21
  • Went 4-7 on the weekend and the team ended up sweeping the tournament and going 4-0. Had 3 singles and a triple while adding 3 RBI's and 2 walks into the mix in 3 games. I did miss a playoff game due to football playoffs, but the team ended up pulling through the game and coming out with a win. We played good competition and played really well as a team, it was a great way to end the fall and start the off-season on the right foot.
  • Camp/Event
  • Eastern Illinois HS Prospect Showcase
  • 10/24/21 to 10/24/21
  • Had a really solid day at my first high school showcase. Threw 76 consistently across the diamond, which was top 3 out of all classes that were there (2025-2022). Had a 7.52 60 yard dash time, which isn’t terrible for my size and build. Had a overall good day, but my exit velo’s do need work as the gun read mid to high 70’s.
  • Camp/Event
  • Gameday National Championship
  • 7/15/21 to 7/18/21
  • Went 6-11 on the weekend with 4 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI’s into the mix. Played 5 games this weekend all at Shortstop and only made 1 error during the rain delay game, but other than that played elite defense. We played top of the line teams from the midwest and went 1-4 on the weekend. Loosing all the games within small margins.
  • Camp/Event
  • “Play The Turf”
  • 7/09/21 to 7/11/21
  • Went 3-7 on the weekend with a Double, Triple, Single, and a couple SAC flies. Had some very clutch RBI’s in the bracket play games and played solid defense at Shortstop all weekend.
  • Camp/Event
  • Effingham Wood Bat Invite
  • 5/29/21 to 5/30/21
  • Was very limited throughout the tournament because of my knee injury. Only got 5 at bats throughout 3 games because of limited time limit. We were limited to 1 hour and 10 minute games because field was rained out Friday. Got on base twice in my 5 at bats and the team went 1-2 on the weekend. Played a good shortstop for being injured and only had 1 error to my name. Hopefully will be back and 100% by the next tourney.
  • Camp/Event
  • Mattoon Invite Tournament
  • 5/22/21 to 5/23/21
  • Got up to the plate for my first at bat and lined a single to the left center gap, and knocked in an RBI. Went to go attempt a steal and slide late and awkwardly. I sat out the rest of the tournament with a bruised knee/contusion, but will be back and 100% in 5-7 days.
  • Camp/Event
  • Turf War #2
  • 5/14/21 to 5/16/21
  • Had a solid weekend at the plate, went 3/9 on the weekend. I was able to knock a HR, 2B, a Single, and have 5 RBI’s through bracket play. Played really good defensively at shortstop the entire tourney, and got MVP in 2/4 games because of my clutch hitting and leadership skills on the field. Overall had a really good weekend on the diamond.
  • Camp/Event
  • The Turf War
  • 4/30/21 to 5/02/21
  • Went 4/8 on the weekend, with a pair of triples and a couple of very hard-hit singles. Had multiple RBI's throughout our 3 game weekend, after our 1st game exit in bracket play. Our team went 1-1 in pool play on Saturday and played 2 really close games. I played really solid defense at shortstop all tournament but had 1 error in the first pool play game on a miss-communication with my second baseman on a DP.
  • Camp/Event
  • Double Header - Exhibition
  • 4/25/21 to 4/25/21
  • The first game went 3-4 with a couple of singles, and every time I was on base, I scored. Stole a couple of bags and scored on the other team's mistakes. The second game went 1-3, hit a single, and then lines out 2 times to the centerfielder on hard-hit balls. Still scored when I was on base from the single and played solid defense throughout the doubleheader.
  • Camp/Event
  • Gameday USA Preseason Tournoment
  • 4/16/21 to 4/18/21
  • Went 2-7 on the weekend and started off very slow. Went through Friday and Saturday hitless, but still played great defense. Sunday was a turn of events and I went 2-3 with a 3RBI home run to left field, and then followed that with an RBI single through the left side gap. Even though we had some rough spots through pool play, we were able to pick it up in the bracket play and get out of the small slump.
