Personal Statement

I have been involved in sports all my life, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and many others. But baseball has been my life ever since i can remember and strive to play the game and be involved as long as I can. I am a team player and a leader, I always push my teammates to try and work harder. I always strive to win but if I lose, tomorrow is another day. All the coaches I have played for have complimented me on my personality and most importantly my baseball skills and abilities. I constantly put in work on the field with my practices and games, and off the field with workouts, swings on the tee, batting cages, and bullpens. In school I have a high GPA, take many honors and AP classes, and in the top 15% of my class. Baseball is not just my passion and the game I love but is also my life.

I was invited to play on a team that is comprised from players of the teams in my North Suburban travel league (Lombard Lightning). It was a great opportunity to play on the same team with guys that I was up against during the season. We traveled as a team on a chartered greyhound bus. We lodged as a team at Fanshawee College campus. It was a true team experience in every sense, spending all day and night with teammates. We played in a minor league stadium in London, Labatt Memorial Park. When we were not on the field, we were socializing as a group and taking in Canada. I have been asked to play on the team again this August. I am looking forward to it.

DeMarini All-Star Weekend & Tournament

A player has to be awarded the game MVP by opposing team coach in a DeMarini Travel ball tournament during the season in order to qualify. I was awarded for my pitching skills. This was my second All Star event. The team I was put on this year took second place in the tournament. We missed first by one run. A very exciting day, a lot of elimination games in some scorching weather. We banded together and made the best of it.

The All Star weekend is make up of skills testing and game play. Various players form teams from all over the country. It was a very enjoyable weekend. Challenging myself and meeting people from different states. Forming teams with players you don't know and competing in tournament play.
