Personal Statement
I am currently playing at Oakton Community College, taking the junior college route to get better over the next two years. I am going to get my associates degree and plan on transferring to a 4 year university. My goal is to play competitive baseball for as long and as high as I can. I will always give my all on the field and in the classroom. I will speak up when others will not, and lead with positivity and hard work. I am still waiting to completely physically mature. This past offseason I worked harder than anyone I knew, and it payed off on the field. My exit velocity went up 11mph, my pop time went down from 2.2 to 1.91, and I have become stronger and faster. These next two years I will work harder than I ever have before.
My Freshman and Sophomore High School teams I was the starting catcher. I was honored with the Gold Glove Award in 2015 for my leadership on and off the field. In my Junior year I have played catcher, third base and second base. In my senior year, I was awarded all-conference and all-area, and have grown so much as a player and young man.
I am known for my defense behind the plate. I am able to frame, block and throw out runners. My biggest asset is my ability to be a team leader and help the pitcher's keep their composure on the mound. I give 110% to my team during practice, workouts and game time.
