Alexander Basic '15 Recruiting Profile

 I am currently a senior at Crown Point High School, a scholar athlete and play on the varsity team. My primary positions are shortstop and second base. My goal after I graduate high school is to continue my baseball career at the collegiate level. I work hard everyday to improve my skills whether it's practicing drills myself, or personally working with my high school coaches to strengthen my ability as a baseball player. Offensively, I manage to find anyway possible to get on base. With a combination of my speed and hitting abilities, I maintain a very high OBP. I stay smart on the bases and led my jv team in stolen bases last year. My main focus is to be a great team leader and team player. Defensively, I use my heads up play making skills and quickness to get the out. Academics are very important to me. While participating in advanced placement classes, I strive to maintain my good GPA and to be the best student athlete that I can be.
