New video with totally new look from 6 tough months in the gym coming very soon. See also Maxpreps @ Scecina Memorial High School.
My name is Sean Murphy and I am in my junior year at Scecina Memorial High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is my 2nd year as a varsity player and the coach says I will bat 4th. The coach brought me full time to the varsity about half way through the season, and I became a 1B starter on a team with one junior and the rest seniors. My profile for high school is on Max Prep Indiana Baseball/Scecina. You can find last year's summer travel season on Gamechanger as the 15U USAthletics Blast. I also am a LHP. My pitching and overall speed have picked up quite a bit because of my off season training.
I just spent the last 4 months working hard in the gym and eating way more sensibly. I have dropped 40 plus pounds, added muscle, and speed to my running and throwing. Rob Barber, my travel coach, says he has recommended players to increase fitness, but I have been the first one to take that seriously.
I am pretty outgoing, and have a great time playing baseball. I like all sports, but I am going to play baseball only the rest of high school. My travel baseball team is the US Athletics, Mr. Barber as this year's coach.
My junior year has been even better for me for lots of reasons, I am studying very hard and have taken several honors courses. Also made the National Honor Society this fall. I might like a career in the FBI, and I like the possibility of architecture, or math or science, or maybe law some day. My SAT are Math 630, Reading 600, and Writing also 600.
I think I have learned a lot from several coaches, and I do what they ask of me. I cheer my teammates all the time and keep their spirits up. I've never argued with an umpire or gotten into anything with an opposing player.
It's hard for me to tell all this because my dad says you should let other people do your bragging. Just do your best is all you can do.
I hope very much to play baseball as well as I can through high school, and if one of you coaches thinks I can keep playing after that I will be really happy to hear that.
Thanks for reading my page.
