Personal Statement
My name is Trey Brummett. Academically I push myself to take multiple honors and AP classes and I will be graduating with an Academic Honors Diploma. I want to pursue neuroscience and behavior and become a neurologist. I want to work in a practice and do research to help find a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig’s disease. I am looking for an excellent opportunity for me to grow as an athlete and to also set a strong foundation academically to reach my goal.
I am a good candidate because I have excellent leadership skills. I am in student council and Be a Better Bulldog (peer leader). I have a strong work ethic on and off the field. I got my first job when I was 13 years old. I received the best compliments from my coach this year. He said I was the epitome of what it means to be a teammate, and that if his kids ended up like me, then he did a good job. I felt pretty good after hearing that.
What makes me different in athletics is I consider myself a well-rounded athlete on the baseball field. I am strong at multiple positions and use my athletic ability at every opportunity in the game. I am looking for the school that best fits my athletic and academic goals. I am one of those kids that if you give me the opportunity, and the chance, you will never regret it.
