Matt Olovich - Cl...Personal Statement
I am a returning Senior (2017) to Guerin Catholic Baseball and will be a 4 year varsity starter. In each of my first three seasons, I led the team in RBIs in each season and am the all time hit leader at my school. After my first 3 seasons, I am just 6 hits away from 100 career hits in high school and with 71 RBIs in my first 3 years, I may also get to 100 RBIs after my senior year. My arm from the OF has been clocked at 91 mph and bat exit velocity was also recorded at 91 at the last PBR I attended in February, 2016.
What makes me different than many other potential recruits are my grades, service projects, combined with a player that can play almost any position on the field, except catcher. My current GPA is 3.94 out of 4.0 at Guerin Catholic where I attend on academic scholarship based on high school admission tests. My SAT is 1200 and my ACT is 28. I have participated in many community service projects from food pantries, food deliveries, working charity fund raisers, and youth community sports and am a member of the National Honor Society.
