Personal Statement

I have  played varsity for 3 seasons.  I started centerfield as a freshman for the Indiana 2A state final game, started all games as a sophomore and junior, lead my team in batting, slugging percentage, on base percentage and was named the team's MVP my sophomore year.  I was also named to first-team all conference and all-county for my sophomore and junior years.   I have played for the Summit City Sluggers for 5 seasons and have played in many National tournaments.  We placed in the Final Four at the University of Louisville Pastime Tourney and were in the Sweet 16 or higher in many other large tournaments in 2014 and 2015.  I feel that my biggest strength is my quick read of the ball off the bat and using my angles to cover the field quickly and efficiently.  I am a fierce competitor, a very hard-worker, listen to instruction and take criticism well, and will do anything a coach asks of me.  I am a quiet leader--a leader by example--but will speak up if needed.  I also take my academics seriously and am in the top 20 of my class.   I am involved in my church and feel that respect and kindness should be a top priority in every aspect of a person's life. I am hoping to find the perfect fit for my college baseball career as well as my academic pursuits.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
