Personal Statement
I have always known that I will go to college after high school. I plan to study history, but that may change. One thing that won't change, however, is my desire to play collegiate-level baseball. I have been playing baseball since I was three. I really grew to love the sport when I started pitching around age 7. Pitching has taught me life lessons already. I have learned patience - it's key when you step onto the mound. Pitching has also taught me how to focus. On the mound, you have to concentrate on each pitch. Finally, baseball has instilled determination in me. I use these three skills in my everyday life and they always serve me well. I am a good candidate for your team because I will use these skills I have learned already and I am open to learning more about this sport that I love.
