I'm a baseball player. I have been playing baseball since I was 3 years old. I come from a family of athletes and it's in my blood. My mother played varsity softball all 4 years in high school, and was the first girl to be named "All-Conference" at our high school. My father, uncle and cousins all played baseball for Olney College, and my older brother is currently playing baseball at Taylor University. My parents had me playing up a year most of my life, and I have played travel baseball since I was 7. There has never been a doubt in my mind about playing baseball. I am in my 4th year as a starter for my HS varsity team and I bat in the 4 spot. I am leading my team with hits and my batting average ranges from a .408-.385. My junior year, I was diagnosed with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). Until then, I struggled academically at school and ruined my GPA. Once I was diagnosed, the school was able to offer the appropriate accommodations and my grades started moving up. Although my GPA isn't where I want it to be, I am proud that I have maintained A's and B's (with the occasional C) since I was diagnosed. I am hopeful that my GPA will continue to rise and not become a factor when deciding my college fate; especially with playing baseball. I am currently undecided on my career aspirations. I am in between career goals, looking into athletic training, physical therapy and sports management.
As a person, I am loyal and very easy-going. I'm a Christian and believe it's important to be kind to everyone. I enjoy spending time with my family, and am always striving to be a better athlete and person. I am the first person to cheer on my teammates, and the last you will ever see complaining or putting others down. I just don't believe in it. I know I am different from other recruits because coming from a long list of baseball players in my family, I take this opportunity seriously. I can guarantee that I will give 110% everyday and will strive to be a leader on the team when it's my time. I will continue to work hard, even if college ball isn't in my future. God already has a plan for my life and hopefully that involves baseball in some way.
I would be honored if your team would consider me as a 2017 recruit, and would love to invite you to visit our field this upcoming season to see what I can offer. If you would like a schedule of our current season, please contact me through this site, by phone (812-821-7615), or by email ([email protected]) and I will get that information to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your time and best of luck in your upcoming season.
