Personal Statement
I pride myself first of all in the classroom. I am #1 in my class with a 4.0 GPA, while taking multiple college level classes. School work has always been my top priority as a student-athlete. On the field, I am primarily a second baseman/ middle infielder, but I can also play third. I am known for my bat, hitting .447 on our 3A varsity squad at Vincennes Lincoln. As a sophomore, I was named a member of First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Area. Also a sophomore, I took on a leadership role that I had not experienced before. As an underclassman, it was tough to get through to upper classmen, but I learned to lead by example and to be a positive role model to the rest of my team.
I pride myself on being a leader. I have attended the IHSAA Leadership Conference, and am a member of Youth Leadership Knox County. I am not the biggest, strongest, or fastest guy around, but I believe that my hardwork, dedication, and leadership are enough to get me into a good college to play baseball. I refuse to be outworked, and I have learned to live by a quote from Kevin Durant, "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard."
I have committed to play my first two years of college baseball at Wabash Valley Junior College. ******
