Personal Statement
I have continually been taught to show great character on and off the field by both of my parents. I have great respect for the game of baseball, and play it how it should be played. Good sportsmanship and teamwork is an excellent quality to have in sports, but respect and honor are character traits that should be carried through in the classroom, athletics, and life as well.
As far as my college dreams and aspirations are concerned, I want to study Criminal Justice so I can be a criminal investigator. I feel like college is important because it teaches you to kind of live on your own, and juggle a lot of things at once. Obviously from an athletic and competitive standpoint, I would like to compete at the highest level possible and I understand that this will depend upon my grades, work ethic, major and how I continue to mature. Academics have always been important to me and I work hard in the classroom.
I am constantly trying to improve myself through in-season and off-season workouts, whether that's just me and my dad going to the field and hitting, or doing some fielding, or going to camps to get my name out there. I watch a lot of college baseball or MLB to see what they're doing to be successful at that level. I am very teachable and respect everybody on the coaching staff, because they're only trying to make me better.
I'm a multi-sport athlete doing 4 sports all throughout my high school career. As an 8th grader, I was offered an opportunity to play at the varsity level in the 2015 season being a utility player, mainly a shortstop/pitcher. I work hard at every sport to be the best I can be, and in the classroom I try to learn everything possible.
