Personal Statement
Watching my high school team make our first trip to the Kansas 4A D1 state tournament for the first time in ten years from the bench may have been one of the hardest things I have done in my life. Plagued by injury I watched as they went on to a 20-3 record. The best in school history. Sure, I was happy for the guys, for the school, for the program, and I was proud to wear the Eudora logo on my chest. Although, I could not stand the fact that I was not able to help the team. All I could think about while watching the 4-2 loss in the first round of the state tournament was, "If only I had one at bat, just one chance to help my team, would I have been able to produce just one more run? Could I have given us a chance to win this game?" My desire to compete and do what ever I could to help my team had me itching to get back out on the field.
I have always aspired to play college baseball. It has been my main focus since day one, to play baseball at an accredited school, both on the field and academically, and I am willing to do what ever it takes to achieve my goals. I believe that with my work ethic, leadership skills, desire to win, and ability on the field, I will be able to make an immediate impact on your program.
