Personal Statement
Through baseball, I have learned that I'm a natural leader and I lead by example. I'm a quick learner and a team player. I am very coachable.
When I started playing competitive baseball at 11, I quickly figured out I was no longer the best on the field. Every year since then I have worked to be the best player that steps on the field. No exceptions.
I'm aware that academics come before athletics, and I'm willing to put my work in both on and off the field. My goal this year as a Junior is to finish with a 3.7 GPA and win a baseball State Championship with Shawnee Mission East.
I hope to play where I can reach my potential at a school I like both academically and athletically - and to earn a graduate degree after playing four years of baseball.
Because I take baseball so seriously, I switched high schools. My new coach has MLB experience and has brought several other coaches with MLB experience with him.
