Personal Statement
I am a six foot, two hundred pound RHP. Currently, I will be starting my sophomore year at Highland Community College and working towards getting my associate's degree. I received the athlete adversity award during my freshman year at Highland. I would like to continue playing at the collegiate level at a 4 year university.
I have played baseball since I was three and club baseball since I was 7 years old. I am a six foot 200 pound right handed pitcher. My school and club coaches have commended me on the ability to be put in any position and to have the baseball knowledge to succeed there for the team. I feel that I could help any baseball team with my versatility and diligence. I have confidence in myself, as well as my team, during stressful situations and enjoy the thrill of overcoming adversity. I work hard during the off season with my strength and pitching trainer as well as getting teammates together to work out at local facilities. I can’t imagine doing anything else and appreciate the values and opportunities playing baseball has given me so far.
Academics is another area in my life that I have had to be diligent at over the years in order to succeed. I find that I am as competitive in school as I am in sports. My teachers appreciate that I take an active interest in my schooling and am willing to spend extra time before and after school to get help if needed. I have had to teach myself how to balance family, school, sports, and work to get to where I want to be in all areas.
