Hello, my name is Justin Doyle, and I play baseball at Mead High School in Spokane, Washington. This upcoming year, I will be a senior. Baseball has been a passion of mine since the age of 5 or 6, and ever since then, I have strived to work hard and compete to the best of my ability. My goal ever since I began playing competitive baseball was to play at the highest level possible, and to do that, I have been working day in and day out to improve my skills and improve my character. Through playing baseball, I have realized that I have a very strong work ethic, and I am willing to be challenged whether on the field, in the classroom, or in life.
School is a very important aspect of my life, and I plan on getting the most out of my education through high school and into college. During my first three years of high school, I have taken 9 AP courses and maintained a 4.37 GPA. Additionally, I earned a composite score of 34 on the ACT. Once out of high school, I want to pursue either the field of business/management, or to work towards being an engineer. Math and science have been my academic passion ever since elementary school and I want to take the highest possible courses available in order to prepare me for my aspirations.
One of the biggest challenges I've faced in life is the fact that I've moved eight times in the past 14 years. I haven't been able to have a true friendship/relationship because by the time I befriend them, I'm gone just as fast. Most recently, I move to Spokane, Washington in the summer of 2018. Luckily, I lived in Kentucky for almost eight years, and I was able to develop some strong bonds, as well as grow fond of the environment I live in. I've never been able to get used to anywhere, because I've lived as far north as Chicago and as far south as Alabama. I've grown the ability to adapt quite well through my moving so often.
Overall, I believe I am a strong candidate due to my willingness to work hard, give maximum effort, and be put out of my comfort zone to play college baseball. My goal is to prepare myself for life after baseball through my education and the morals I learn as a result of playing high school and collegiate sports.
