Sam Seahorn '17 Recruiting Profile

I’m a junior at Sayre School in Lexington, Kentucky.  I have played baseball since I was 4 years old; it has given me many skills and has taught me many lessons on and off the field. Throughout most of my baseball career, I have played middle infield and have pitched, but I am comfortable with all positions except catcher.  I believe that I will be a good candidate for a collegiate baseball program because I am extremely well organized and a hard worker who enjoys improving my skills.  My coaches have described me as a leader because I am supportive of my teammates and I lead through my actions on and off of the field. My academic goal is to enter a college pre-medical program which will give me the option of attending either medical school or veterinary school.  I plan to major in either biology or chemistry.  Although I love to play baseball, I believe that I need a school that will challenge me academically to make me the best I could possibly be after college and throughout my career.
