Personal Statement
My freshman year of high school was definitely a working year. Having a
varsity team with 6 seniors who all had committed to play college
baseball, it was obvious a freshman wasn't going to play varsity. So I
knew I would have to work for a varsity spot my sophomore year. That
dedication paid off because I was one of the top 3 guys in the varsity
pitching rotation during my sophomore year. It really paid off when I
got the complete game win on the mound against the number 7 team in the
state at that time.
After that win, my next start was against the top team in our region
which was also a complete game win. This gave my team the number 1 rank
in our region. Those 2 games made me realize all my commitment and
sacrifices were well worth it. I am looking for a program that will fit
me athletically and academically as well. I believe I not only have the
talent to compete at the college level, but the character, drive and
attitude to make an immediate impact on your program.
