I love baseball. It is my passion and my dream is to play college baseball. I am going to do the work my dream a reality. I want to find a school that allows me to develop as a baseball player, but more importantly prepares me for my life after baseball.
I am a young Senior, I turned 17 in July. I worked on strength and agility this past summer, adding 10 - 15 pounds to my frame. I am conditioning 5 days a week to improve my power and arm strength.
My Freshman year was my first year catching. I caught part time for my freshman team. As a Sophomore, my coaches wanted me to be the starting catcher for JV and the back-up catcher for Varsity. A third of the way through the season I earned the starting job on Varsity and played Varsity full time the rest of the year.
Converting to catcher shows how flexible and coachable I am as a player and teammate. I was able to learn and be successful at a new position in a short time. It also shows that I am not selfish and I will do whatever my team needs me to do. On my summer team I play many other positions: left field, third base and first base.
