Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Ethan Neal. I am looking for a college where I can be challenged on the field and in the classroom.  I know every player you scout thinks they are special in some way.  However, I have a highly developed work ethic and baseball IQ.

I have been blessed to have solid coaching that has focused on baseball fundamentals through out my life.  I am really good at adapting to coaches and programs. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA during middle school and high school.

Playing college baseball is my dream.  I work every day of my life to achieve it.  I work very hard in the classroom and on the field.  I will devote  100% effort to any program I join.  I love this game and I will bring a winning attitude to the field.   I respect this game and give it my all.  I believe "it's hard to beat someone who won't quit"  and I will not quit.  I will grind and give you all I have.

Neal was selected to play on the Central Region All-Star team after his outstanding play during the regional BYA Championships in Grand Park in Indianapolis, Ind. Less than 60 players nationally were invited to play in this national event. Neal was the starting catcher for the Central Region All-Stars in a game that was nationally televised on CBS Sports Network. In addition to his work behind the plate, Neal was called upon to pitch and picked up a win against the East Regional All-Star Team. He threw four shutout innings, while striking out four batters. Neal has already pitched two perfect games in his baseball career. While in New York, MLB Network interviewed Ethan about his experience during this elite baseball event. He also attended a New York Yankees game and visited the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Ethan attends B. Michael Caudill Middle School where he is an Honor Roll student and plays basketball and baseball.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
